Epson UK Press Release

21st January 2009 - The Epson stand (C10) at Focus on Imaging 2009 will be 50% larger than 2008 and will incorporate a presentation theatre seating forty.

The stand will demonstrate a wide range of Epson products including the stylish all-in-one Stylus Photo PX800FW with built-in Wi-Fi; the award winning range of A3+ photo printers including the Stylus Photo R2880 featuring the acclaimed UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta inkset; the latest large format printers, the Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 with UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) and the 64” Stylus Pro 11880. As usual, the Epson team will be happy to provide a print sample of your favourite image.

A range of scanners, ideal for archiving your film library, will also be demonstrated including the Perfection V500 with the latest ReadyScan LED technology which means the unit has low power consumption and requires virtually no warm up time.

If you are considering a projector, either to use within your studio for selling your images or for your camera club, then visit the stand to find out more.

The media gallery on the stand will let you see and feel the range of media available and will inspire you to try different media; possibly traditional photo paper for the nostalgic look or Ultra Smooth for a fine art effect.

“Our stand was full to bursting point last year, with people having to wait to get close to the products, so, given we have even more to show this year, we have increased the size of the stand.” said Kerry Reid, Director of Marketing at Epson. “Mike McNamee and Paul Gallagher’s presentations were so popular we have decided to expand the programme of presentations to provide expert advice across a much broader spectrum than was previously possible. The presentations will give our customers the opportunity to explore new opportunities and technological advances.“

The presentation theatre will seat forty people but has been designed so that those passing by can also stand and listen if they wish. The presentation programme starts at 10.15 every morning, with a presentation every hour. The last presentation is at 17.15 on Sunday – Tuesday and at 16.15 on Wednesday. Each presentation will last 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for questions and answers.

The presentations cover a broad range of topics; Epson’s Mark Payne will inspire you to bring your old photos to life, Mike McNamee, editor of Professional Imagemaker, will talk about ‘Advanced Colour Output’, renowned landscape photographer Paul Gallagher will show you how to master digital monochrome and Mark Payne and the Editor-in-Chief of the BIPP Magazine, Jonathan Briggs, will challenge you to unlock your potential. With presentations from SilverFast, Blanc Canvas Digital and professional photographer Neil Horne completing the programme, there is something to suit all interests.
