New Firmware for the Epson P-2000 Multimedia Storage Viewer

The Epson P-2000 Multimedia Storage Viewer allows users to store and preview digital photos, movies and music.  The 3.8 inch Photo Fine display provides outstanding definition for unsurpassed picture quality.

April 2005 -  A firmware upgrade is now available for the Epson P-2000 Multimedia Storage Viewer.  New features include; increased image handling; compatibility with a larger range of digital SLR cameras and the addition of histograms.  Existing P-2000 customers can download the new firmware (version 02.02), free of charge from the Epson website.  Go to www.epson.co.uk, click on digital photography products and follow the support link from the product information page.

To keep abreast of developments in the Digital SLR camera markets the Epson P-2000 Multimedia Storage Viewer will now manage digital images up to 17.8 Mpixels (previously 8.9 Mpixels).

The range of RAW file formats supported by the Epson P-2000 Storage Viewer have also been increased to support more camera manufacturers (Olympus*, Konica Minolta and Pentax) plus additional Canon and Nikon cameras are now supported. 

Advanced users can now benefit from the addition of Histogram data for J-PEG images.

The filing system has also been upgraded.  Images will be shown in chronological order (previously file name order) to make image retrieval easier.  Furthermore, movie playback now supports a wider range of cameras. 

About the Epson P-2000
The Epson P-2000 enables you to save your photos from your digital camera memory card and view them on the VGA (640x480) high definition 3.8 inch Photo Fine display.  You can store and view your photo albums, create slide shows and connect to your photo printer, computer or TV.
