The Eye-Fi Geo X2 is the world’s first wireless memory card to include geotagging. With a 4GB capacity, the Eye-Fi Geo X2 card integrates with Macintosh environments and applications, such as MobileMe and iPhoto. The card’s unique embedded Wi-Fi technology will upload photos straight to the user’s computer and/or photo sharing accounts, such as Facebook, Flickr and Picasa, without the need for wires and worrying. Geotagging, just one of the features on offer, will then show the pictures on a map and make albums searchable by location. Priced from £49.99 to £119.99, the Eye-Fi X2 range of cards is available from high street stores, including Jessops, and online from sites, such as Amazon.

Want people to know where you’ve taken that photo? The Eye-FiX2 range will do it for you

Whilst we’dloved it to have been real, the above faked image is the closest we’ll get to seeing Steven Gerrard lifting the World Cup for England this summer.

Today’s advanced techniques make it easier to spot a fake photo, and history is littered with famous examples. Photos of The Loch Ness Monster, The Yeti and Bigfoot have all been viewed with scepticism and prevented these mysteries from being settled once and for all.

Now, thanks to the Eye-Fi Geo X2, the world’s first wireless memory card to include geotagging, photographers’ can capture those once in a lifetime moments with confidence, as this unique feature provides proof of their location.

There are four Eye-Fi cards within the X2 range, and the geotagging feature is available with the GeoX2, Explore X2 and ProX2. Here’s what a few of those notable contentious images would have looked like if they’d been geotagged by Eye-Fi…

Another key feature on the entire Eye-Fi X2 range is Endless Memory, the space saving service which makes room for more images and videos on your card once they have safely been wirelessly uploaded to the PC. This ensures you can capture the rarest of sights without ever worrying about running out of space again.
