The winners of the EyeTime 2013 contest have been announced. EyeTime 2013 was assembled as a means to publicly promote the research, exploration and investigation currently happening amongst today's emerging talent. Winners include Dean West, Simon Chang, Edward Neumann, Tiberio Ventura, Michael Santiago and Nicholai Go. Jessica Lum Awards winners include Alessandro Falco and Tiberio Ventura. Public winners include Javier Corso and Rainer Weston.

EyeTime 2013: Announces Competition Winners

December 3rd, 2013 

On behalf of the competition organizers, collaborators and supporters, the Morpholio Project congratulates the EyeTime 2013 Winners, Honor Awards and Honorable Mentions. "EyeTime presents a unique group of talented emerging photographers." Said Juliette Wolf-Robin, National Executive Director at the APA.  "It is always great for me to see what the younger generation is coming up with in terms of images and creativity... Mind Blowing." said Billy Cunningham, Faculty at The International Center of Photography.

EyeTime 2013 was assembled as a means to publicly promote the research, exploration and investigation currently happening amongst today's emerging talent. "In a world with so many "snap, then straight-to-publish" avenues, I was impressed by the taste and forethought that went into creating the entries." Said Jenika McDavitt, Writer & Publisher, Psychology for Photographers. Tiffany Mueller, Light Stalking Writer and Photographer said  "The finalists in each division were absolutely outstanding and it was really exacting to narrow them down." All of the submissions exemplified outstanding work and the competition organizers are grateful for the enormous amount of entrants who were bold enough to confront the world with their voice.  "Wow... so much great talent."said Adam Sherwin, tech editor of Resource Magazine.

This year, with special thanks to the family and friends of Jessica Lum, EyeTime is also announcing two winners for excellence in Photojournalism honoring Jessica.  "Jessica Lum is an inspiration to all aspiring young photojournalists. She pursued her passion wholeheartedly and gave voice to the people she photographed. I hope the winners of the Jessica Lum award are continually inspired to share their own voice with the world through telling the stories of others. It is possible to send your message through today's virtual noise. Make it a message worth sending." Said Salgu Wissmath, Photojournalist, Co-founder of Project I AM. On behalf of the competition team, we commemorate Jessica Lum and her work, and offer our condolences to those who knew her.

This year's EyeTime jury included  Aurelie Jezequel of Resource Magazine, Billy Cunningham of The International Center of Photography, Kristen Fortier of Wired Magazine, Adam Sherwin of Resource Magazine , Tracey Clark of Shutter Sisters,  Jenika McDavitt of Psychology for Photographers, Tiffany Mueller of Light Stalking and Juliette Wolf-Robin of the APA. This year's Jessica Lum jury included Salgu Wissmath of Project I AM, Gary Fong of Genesis Photo Agency and Tyler Orsburn of Ends-Meet.
