A new online digital printing service which features low-volume professional quality at a fraction of the price of conventional print is giving photographers a cost-effective way of maximising the potential of their work.  FilePrint enables users to design, upload and order short print runs economically from their desktop, with pre-noon orders delivered next day.

A number of amateur photographers are already benefiting from the FilePrint service. One example is Joan Thirlaway (www.joanthirlaway.com), who lives near Hadrian’s Wall. She specialises in landscape photographs which she then turns into prints for sale in local tourist shops. According to Joan, “I produce calendars to sell locally, but only need a short run.
