Fotospeed’s Foto Fest 2017 a huge hit for the second year running

Photographers from around the country joined influential photographers and leading brands for Fotospeed’s celebration of photography and printing at the University of Bath

Corsham, UK, 20th September 2017 – Earlier this month, Fotospeed, the UK’s premier photographic paper brand, were back with Foto Fest 2017, their celebration of photography and printing.

Print enthusiasts from around the country joined Fotospeed and four leading photographers at The Edge at The University of Bath on the 10th of September, for a series of talks which gave insight into the stories behind their most famous shots. Attendees were also joined by leading photography brands such as Kaiser, Canon, Panasonic, and Lee Filters, at the Foto Fest Marketplace, which gave photographers the opportunity to get exclusive deals on the latest products.

Described by Photographer and speaker Colin Prior as “a growing forum for photographers passionate about furthering their own photographic journeys”, Foto Fest is now in its second consecutive year and is set to keep on growing as Fotospeed continue their mission to put printing in the spotlight.

The day, which saw a series of talks by leading photographers Martin Hartley, Paul Sanders, Ben Hall, and Colin Prior, featured an exhibition of photographers’ works, the opportunity to learn the secrets of portraiture with photographer Dave Kai-Piper, as well as the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest gear.

Sam Gregory, photographer and host of The Togcast, said “The festival was a great reminder that although we share the same passion for photography, each of us is on our own journey. The guests all spoke passionately about what motivated their image making and this was quite different for each speaker. Be it documenting wild landscapes & wildlife for preservation, or catching moments of human endeavour - there was plenty of inspiration!”
