DALLAS, TX - February 27, 2007 - FotoTime, Inc., a leading provider of digital photo and video solutions, introduces Version 5.5 of its FotoAlbum Pro software, featuring support for the new Vista operating system and RAW file formats from all leading camera manufacturers. Version 5.5 continues FotoTime’s early industry support for the latest technologies available to enhance a user’s experience and convenience in managing and sharing images.

Now FotoTime customers who purchase new computers with Vista pre loaded or are planning to upgrade existing computers to the new operating system can continue to take advantage of the rich features available in FotoTime’s FotoAlbum image management software.

In addition to support for Vista, FotoAlbum Pro Version 5.5 meets the growing desire on the part of digital photography enthusiasts and professionals for higher image quality afforded by RAW files versus the more conventional JPEG format.  FotoTime Version 5.5 supports RAW formats from all major camera manufacturers, including Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, and Sony.  This support includes both the latest models from these leading providers, such as the Canon D30, Canon 400D, Nikon D40, Nikon D80, Pentax K10D and Pentax K100D, as well as earlier offerings.

RAW files give photographers better control over exposure and white balance because they are captured directly from the camera’s sensor, with no processing or compression. In addition, RAW files often contain more color information than JPEG files and sometimes have up to 16 bits-per-color pixel of information compared to a JPEG’s standard 8 bits-per-color pixel.
