FUJIFILM’S NEW STUDIOMASTER PRO 3.0 BOOSTS PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS’ PRODUCTIVITY BY INCREASING WORKFLOW EFFICIENCIES

Enhanced image preview, editing and ordering features enable photographers to generate additional revenue opportunities while cutting costs and saving time

VALHALLA, NY, July 7, 2004 - As professional photographers manage millions of pictures this busy summer season, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Inc., announces a new version of its Studiomaster PRO image presentation, editing and ordering software designed to increase workflow efficiencies for photographers and labs. With over 70 years of imaging know-how and close ties to the professional market, Fujifilm understands photographers’ needs to save time and money, while maintaining creative control - and Studiomaster PRO 3.0 does just that.

With Studiomaster PRO 3.0, wedding and portrait photographers can more easily preview and edit images, quickly create and present professional albums to clients and efficiently send print orders to their lab. Based on feedback from previous versions, Fujifilm enhanced many features and added new functionality to Studiomaster PRO so photographers can spend more time behind the lens, instead of in front of the computer.

Studiomaster PRO 3.0Award-winning professional photographer Jeff Locklear has enjoyed a thriving business for more than 20 years by using the latest technology to meet the needs of his customers. “Without Studiomaster PRO, I could not manage my digital files,” said Locklear. He credits Studiomaster PRO with streamlining his workflow and slashing his turnaround time by as much as 75 percent. Now, he is looking forward to the next version of Studiomaster PRO. “I’m expecting the slide show feature to boost my overall sales, since high-end clients will have the option to buy a customized CD, above and beyond their specific order.” he said. “And the new album features and enhancements will give me additional business opportunities to support my clients.”

From network functionality and archiving capabilities, to new album views and custom logos, Studiomaster PRO 3.0’s new design significantly increases ease of use and gives photographers greater flexibility to expand their business. For example, the new slide show presents photographers with a new revenue stream, as it can now be exported, set to music, burned to a CD and sold to clients.

“With over 70 years of imaging know-how, Fujifilm understands the challenges professional photographers face and is constantly improving its solutions to meet their business needs - from image capture to print,” said Tom Curley, Director of Marketing, Photo Imaging Division, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. “Fujifilm designed Studiomaster PRO 3.0 to give professional photographers further creative control, while increasing workflow efficiencies and adding new revenue opportunities.”

At Imaging USA 2004 (booth number 521), Fujifilm will be showcasing Studiomaster PRO 3.0 to professional photographers. Studiomaster PRO 3.0’s new portraiture previewing, editing and ordering features include:

Redesigned Slideshow - photographers can now add music and backgrounds to the slideshow and can offer to customers the finished show on a CD as an additional product. The new design also improves clients’ in-store viewing experience

New networking functionality - the ability to view, modify and manage jobs easily between two or more computers within the studio gives photographers greater flexibility

Expanded archiving - new features enable long-term storage and easier viewing of past orders to increase the studio’s organization and facilitate future print orders

Effortless logos - photographers can now easily add custom logos, watermarks or graphic designs to every photo instead of sending separately to the lab

Enhanced album view - easily drag-and-drop images or album pages and preview final album online exactly as they appear in print (two, four and eight-page displays)

Seamless Photoshop integration - edits made in Adobe Photoshop or other external imaging software are now reflected in the low-res or thumbnail view

New image information tools - new information bar allows users to quickly view information such as image name, images within a product, and product quantity, while the right click mouse button quickly details additional image information such as exif data
