The Fujifilm Student Awards 2016 are now open for entries. Submissions are invited from all UK students, not just those undertaking courses involving photography. All images must be taken on Fujifilm film and submitted via the website below. Entry is free and students can enter as many photographs as they wish. The closing date for the competition is 31 March 2016.

Fujifilm Launches the 2016 Student Awards – ‘Shoot from the Hip’

The Fujifilm Student Awards 2016 are now open for entries. The brief is ‘Shoot from the Hip’, which means students will need to show skill, knowledge and any influences, such as candid photography.

The Awards will once again be a collaboration between Fujifilm Professional, Metroprint (the online arm of Metro Imaging), ChooseFilm (the online community dedicated to film photography) and Fujifilm instax.

Submissions are invited from all UK students, not just those undertaking courses involving photography. All images must be taken on Fujifilm film and submitted via www.fujifilmstudentawards.co.uk. Entry is free and students can enter as many photographs as they wish.

The overall winner will be named the 'Fujifilm Student Photographer of the Year 2016'. The winner will also be presented with £200 worth of film from Fujifilm, a professionally-produced folio of prints, a one-to-one printing/consultancy session with one of Metroprint's top printers, and a selection of instax goodies including, an instax printer.

Each month there will be a 'Curator's Choice' which will see a student's image selected and featured on the Awards’ website and social media channels. The monthly winner will be presented with a free 12" x 16" professionally produced print of their winning image by Metroprint, and 10 rolls of Fujifilm film.

The college or university that submits the most entries will win £500 worth of film from Fujifilm.

The closing date for the competition is 31st March 2016.
