Fujifilm USA has officially announced the Fujifilm X100 Black Edition. According to the company, “Fujifilm is also launching a limited release of the high-end compact digital camera FUJIFILM X100 Black Premium Edition worldwide. The X100 Black Premium Edition will come with a genuine leather case, a lens hood, an adapter ring and a protective filter; and will also include a Limited Edition numbered card for product authentication.”

Innovative Solutions for Picture Taking

X-Series Digital Cameras
At CES 2012, Fujifilm is showcasing its premium, high quality X-Series digital cameras. Developed to appeal to generations of professional photographers that appreciate true craftsmanship, the FUJIFILM X-Series digital cameras combine the highest caliber FUJINON lenses and custom APS CMOS sensors with the latest EXR image processing technology to deliver the ultimate in image quality.

Building on the profound success of the FUJIFILM X100, Fujifilm proudly introduces its newest and most advanced addition to its X-Series lineup – the revolutionary FUJIFILM X-Pro1 Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera System. With a brand new, custom developed 16MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensorTM, incorporating a newly designed filter array and Fujifilm’s proprietary EXR Processor technology, the FUJIFILM X-Pro1 is poised to deliver superlative image quality that will rival currently available mid and high-end DSLR models. Taking another decisive step into the premium camera market, Fujifilm has taken the X-Pro1 to the next level featuring a New 2nd Generation Hybrid Multi Viewfinder and three prime interchangeable FUJINON lenses. The all-new FUJIFILM X-S1, made in Japan, features a large 2/3” 12 megapixel EXR CMOS sensor and a newly-developed, bright all glass and high-definition FUJINON F2.8 Wide-Angle to F5.6 telephoto lens with an ultra-smooth 26x manual zoom (24-624mm equivalent). The FUJINON lens consists of 17 glass lens elements in 12 groups, to offer amazing clarity and high resolution through the entire image. Fujifilm is also launching a limited release of the high-end compact digital camera FUJIFILM X100 Black Premium Edition worldwide. The X100 Black Premium Edition will come with a genuine leather case, a lens hood, an adapter ring and a protective filter; and will also include a Limited Edition numbered card for product authentication. Debuting last spring, the FUJIFILM X100 digital camera continues to be a top-seller, known for taking high quality images. The premium compact camera features the newly-developed Fujinon 23mm (135 equivalent: 35mm) F2 lens and the 12 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor to deliver those premium images. The camera is also equipped with the world’s first “Hybrid Viewfinder,” which switches between the optical viewfinder (OVF) and electronic viewfinder (EVF).

Introduced last fall, the premium compact FUJIFILM X10 digital camera, features a new, larger 2/3” 12 megapixel EXR CMOS sensor and a bright, high-definition FUJINON F2.0 wide-angle to F2.8 telephoto, 4x manual zoom lens (28-112mm) with a proprietary Super EBC (Electron Beam Coating) that produces superb image quality from edge to edge.

FinePix Digital Cameras
Also on display will be Fujifilm’s consumer FinePix digital cameras, including the FUJIFILM FinePix HS30EXR and HS25EXR digital cameras, both of which are high quality, high performance SLR-styled long-zoom cameras, built for the professional or enthusiast photographer, but also easy enough for even first time users who want unmatched speed and image quality, all in sturdy and classic design. The new FinePix HS30EXR and HS25EXR both feature a new 1\2” 16 MegaPixel EXR-CMOS sensor, a powerful FUJINON 30x manual optical zoom (24mm-720mm) and a tilting 3.0” high contrast 460K resolution LCD with Sunlight Mode for easy outdoor viewing. The HS30EXR has a large .26” electronic viewfinder with a 22° viewing angle and stunning 920K resolution that features a “heads up” sensor that automatically changes from LCD to EVF; while the HS25EXR has a big .20” electronic viewfinder with a 16° viewing angle and 200K resolution with the same “heads up” sensor that automatically changes from LCD to EVF for convenience. Both have full 1080p HD video movie recording at 30 frames per second (fps), super-fast auto focus of 0.16 seconds, high speed continuous shooting at 11fps (M setting) and Super Intelligent Digital Zoom that effectively doubles zoom capability to an extraordinary 60x to capture even the most distant shot.

Fujifilm will also have three new additions to the high-end travel compact FinePix F-Series lineup: the FinePix F770EXR with GPS, F750EXR and the F600EXR Digital Cameras. These sleek, compact digital cameras all feature a newly improved 1/2” 16 MegaPixel EXR-CMOS sensor that delivers superior image quality and performance, especially in low light situations. The F770EXR with GPS and the F750EXR both use a FUJINON 20x super Wide-Angle lens (25-500mm) to produce exceptional images, and also feature Intelligent Digital Zoom that effectively doubles zoom capability, and an ultra-clear 3.0” high contrast 460K resolution LCD with a wide 160° viewing angle for framing the best images possible. The F660EXR incorporates a FUJINON 15x super Wide-Angle lens (24-360mm), as well as Intelligent Digital Zoom and a vivid and clear 3.0” high contrast 460K resolution LCD with a wide 160° viewing angle. The FinePix F770EXR, F750EXR and the F660EXR bring together several exciting new technologies that deliver outstanding images – even in low light. These new technologies include an advanced EXR Auto mode with Motion Detection capability to virtually eliminate subject blur in all lighting conditions, and FUJINON wide optical zoom lenses that now double telephoto power with amazing sharpness and detail thanks to the new Intelligent Digital Zoom mode.

There will also be three new additions to the popular long-zoom S-Series lineup – the SLR styled FinePix S4200, S4500 and SL300 Digital Cameras. Each new FinePix camera offers a 14 MegaPixel CCD sensor, with the S4200 offering an impressive FUJINON 24x long-zoom lens (24-576mm), and the S4500 and SL300 both delivering an extraordinary 30x long-zoom (24-720mm), for capturing even the most distant images. The SL300 makes long-zoom control even more precise by adding Dual Zoom Control. These FinePix cameras have large, bright 3” LCD screens, with the S4200 and S4500 at 230K resolution and the SL300 with a remarkable high-contrast, 460K resolution screen, an Electronic Viewfinder with 200K resolution (160° view with Diopter Control on the SL300), plus a number of image and social features that give every day and enthusiast photographers the tools that they need to capture crisp, clear shots as well as an amazing Super Macro Mode for shots as close as 2cm for breathtaking detail.

The all new rugged and extremely durable FinePix XP150 with GPS and geo-tagging, the equally strong and good-looking FinePix XP100, and the stylish and tough FinePix XP50 Digital Cameras are perfect for the greatest outdoor adventure, whether it is in an ocean, on a trail or on a mountain top. As a follow up to the highly successful XP-Series and its definitive “Four-Way Protection,” the XP150, XP100 and XP50 have all been redesigned to maximize their durability, speed, ergonomics, ease of use and functionality in all weather conditions. The FinePix XP150 (with GPS) and XP100 (without GPS) digital cameras take rugged protection and durability to a whole new level. Now, they are Waterproof to 33ft (10M) and Shockproof to 8 ft (2M), Freezeproof to 14°F (-10°C) and Dustproof. The new XP50 also fights water, shocks, cold and debris by being Waterproof to 15.5ft (5M) and Shockproof to 5 ft (1.5M), Freezeproof to 14°F (-10°C) and Dustproof. With all this protection, you are certain to get your most adventurous shots. The new durable FinePix XP-Series cameras now feature the powerful and performance-driven 14-MegaPixel CMOS sensor, faster start-up and shot-to-shot times, 10 frames per second (fps) continuous shooting, a 2.7” anti-reflective, high-contrast LCD that has been brightened for clear viewing even in bright sunlight, and the high-precision, FUJINON 5x wide angle optical zoom lenses (28-140mm) with a reinforced hardened glass lens barrier. The ergonomically-designed cameras are housed in a metal uni-body chassis for durability, and now feature a totally redesigned double-locking door that seals and protects battery and memory card slot, along with the USB and micro-HD ports. This new, heavy-duty door keeps the XP-Series cameras watertight and locks out dust and debris in any situation that you can throw at it.

The two new FinePix T-Series ultra-compact long-zoom cameras – the FinePix T400 and T350 Digital Cameras – are slim cameras with FUJINON 10x long-zoom lenses (28-280mm), and thin enough to fit in any jeans or shirt pocket and make the perfect travel camera. Both cameras offer amazing speed with fast start-up and auto focus times, as well as the perfect combination of advanced features, including top quality imaging - even in low light - large, bright 3.0” LCD screens, Smile and Blink Detection modes, and 720p HD video at 30 frames per second (fps), all at an affordable price tag. The FinePix T400 packs a 16-MegaPixel CCD sensor and the FinePix T350 sports a 14-MegaPixel CCD sensor to ensure that the highest image quality is captured every time, and thanks to its CCD Shift Image Stabilization, the T400 and T350 automatically help eliminate camera shake and keep pictures sharp in all shooting conditions.

The new, compact and highly-portable FinePix JZ250 and JV100 Digital Cameras are easy-to-use, with robust features that include high resolution sensors, FUJINON 8x zoom lenses (25-250mm), 720p HD at 30 frames per second (fps) movie capabilities and large, bright LCD screens all in a body that is easy to carry everywhere that you go. These FinePix digital cameras are perfect for consumers on a budget, but not looking to sacrifice great image quality, and offer additional advanced features. The FinePix JZ250 and JZ100 have wide-ranging lenses that enable users to capture everything from beautiful wide-angle shots to stunning images of distant objects. At the other end of the scale, both cameras offer a close-focusing distance of 5cm, which enables users to shoot beautiful macro images that fill the frame with detail and vibrant colors.

And finally, Fujifilm announces three new feature-packed and easy-to-use digital cameras, the FinePix JX580, JX500 and AX600. Each camera is slim, highly-portable and designed with simplicity to offer consumers a digital camera with high resolution sensors, powerful FUJINON 5x zoom lens and 720p HD movie capture capabilities, all for a fantastic value. The JX580 has a powerful 16-MegaPixel CCD sensor and a FUJINON 5x wide angle (26mm-130mm) optical zoom lens to ensure that the highest image quality is captured every time. The JX580 easily gives everyone the ability to take terrific pictures, even in low light, by offering a large 3.0” LCD screen with improved viewing in bright light, metal body and a powerful Li-ion rechargeable battery. The JX500 and AX600 both feature an impressive 14-MegaPixel CCD sensor and a 2.7” LCD screen with two choices for battery power: Li-ion for the JX500 and AA batteries for the AX600. The JX500 has a FUJINON 5x wide angle (26mm-130mm) optical zoom lens while the AX600 has a FUJINON 5x wide angle (33mm-165mm) optical zoom lens for capturing memorable moments at home and with friends.

3-D Photography System
Fujifilm’s FinePix REAL 3D camera and images continue to fascinate and engage audiences. The REAL 3D camera depends heavily on its “RP (Real Photo) Processor 3D” chip which synchronizes the data passed to it by CCD sensors, and instantaneously blends the information into a single high quality image, for both stills and movies. Special identical high quality compact FUJINON lenses have been developed for the 3D system to ensure complete conformity between the left and right images. The FinePix REAL 3D system illustrates Fujifilm’s ongoing commitment to technological innovation.

Instant Film Camera System
At CES 2012, Fujifilm showcases the newest consumer models of Instax Instant Film Cameras, including: the Instax Mini 50S Instant Film Camera, is a slim and sharp camera that comes in piano black, and includes great features for taking high-quality photos, including: a macro lens for close-up shots up to 300mm away, two shutter release buttons placed on the front and side of the camera for portrait or landscape prints, a self-timer that takes one or two pictures at once, Intelligent Flash for brighter backgrounds, an Exposure indicator display and a tripod mount. Also for consumers, the stylish and highly-portable FUJIFILM Instax Mini 25 boasts added features such as an LCD film count and shooting mode display as well as a camera mounted shooting mirror for taking self portraits. The Instax Mini 25 includes a built-in automatic electronic flash for low-light shooting, a detachable close-up shooting lens and three exposure modes – auto mode for dark settings, fill in flash mode for auto flash on bright or dark areas, and landscape mode. And last, the fun Instax Mini 7S Instant Film Camera is an instant film solution equipped with high end FUJINON optics and four selectable shooting modes, all encased in a silken white finish and cute design. All three models produce vivid, high-quality, credit-card sized instant prints using FUJIFILM Instax Mini Instant Film.


Innovative Solutions for Printing

Expanding Frontier Solutions
Fujifilm’s pioneering Frontier technology and continued advances with its proprietary Image Intelligence™ technology, remains a solid foundation for the imaging marketplace. Fujifilm has continued to build on its Expanding Frontier Solutions strategy, introducing not only enhanced workflow applications but also new dry printing solutions to meet the changing needs of a marketplace that prints more than just photos.

Frontier Digital Lab Systems
Fujifilm announced the latest addition to its line of Frontier Dry Minilabs, the FUJIFILM Frontier Dry Minilab DL650. This latest inkjet printing solution can be optimized for the diverse needs of retail, commercial, and professional markets and represents the latest example of Fujifilm’s effort for Expanding Frontier Solutions. The Frontier DL650 offers outstanding features in an inkjet minilab; its 6-color ink system is able to produce vivid images with enhanced grain and gradation, print sizes from 3.5” x 5” up to 12” x 48” at speeds up to 950 - 4” x 6” prints per hour, and at resolutions up to 1440 dpi. Production flexibility of the DL650 is greatly improved with the addition of variable paper thickness printing. The DL650 is able to print on Fujifilm’s new Thicker Dry Photo paper and Standard weight Dry Photo paper, expanding the products a Photofinisher can offer. Fujifilm’s Frontier Workflow Management Software (“MS”) with integrated Image Intelligence™ Technology powers the Frontier DL650. Fujifilm’s MS software efficiently manages order fulfillment and can drive multiple output devices in Fujifilm’s Expanding Frontier Solutions line.


Retail Photo Printing Solutions
Also at CES 2012, Fujifilm will introduce its new Multi-Service Kiosk solution. This new kiosk is ideal for retail photofinishers looking to drive additional revenue streams and offer more to their customers without giving up valuable floor space. In addition to 4”x6” prints, the new Multi-Service Kiosk allows consumers to pay for domestic and international telephone bills and prepaid tolls and cellular plans. Consumers can also order ring-tones, music videos, and event tickets all from the same kiosk. Fujifilm’s Multi-Service Kiosk is the size of a traditional photo kiosk terminal and allows customers to order prints and other services at the kiosk.

Fujifilm will also introduce the latest addition to Fujifilm’s ASK line of digital photo printers, the ASK-300 thermal dye sublimation printer. Feature-rich in a compact, portable design, the ASK-300 offers all of the benefits of Fujifilm’s industry-leading commercial photo printing technology in an economically priced device. The ASK-300 is the ideal low-cost photo printing solution for retailers with limited counter space, at just over one square foot. At 26 lbs., the ASK-300 is also the perfect “traveling” printer for event photographers, allowing them to offer a variety of print sizes in seconds, on-site. Low equipment, service and consumable expenses help reduce total cost of ownership and maximize margins. Extremely versatile and efficient, the ASK-300 produces 4” x 6”, 5” x 7” and 6” x 8” prints all from the same printer, with a printing resolution of 300 dpi. The ASK-300’s large paper capacity increases productivity and ease of use.

Also at the Fujifilm booth, the Epson/Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7890 wide format inkjet printer produces large prints such as portraits, posters and signs as large as 24” x 36”, and banners up to 2’ x 8’ long on a wide range of substrates, including canvas, fine art paper and board stock up to 1.5mm thick. The Epson/Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7890 uses Epson UltraChrome inks to produce long lasting, high quality prints, with a wide color gamut and rich, deep blacks. Large ink cartridges (up to 700ml) help to reduce downtime and increase productivity with less waste and fewer replacements. By using roll media 20” wide, the Epson/Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7890 can output a wider range of photo-centric print sizes (11 x 14, 12 x 16, 16 x 20, 20 x 24, 20 x 30) with less waste material. Direct-to-board printing eliminates the need for outsourced mounting services.

Specialty Photo Printing Solutions
Fujifilm will also introduce the Xerox Phaser® 6270 Photobook Printer to Fujifilm’s expansive lineup of photo specialty printing products. The Xerox Phaser 6270 provides the capability to produce stunning photo images on a variety of paper products, at a low capital investment. Perfectly suited for production of high margin photo specialty products such as photobooks, folded cards and calendars, the Xerox Phaser 6270 can also generate a number of valuable business applications such as photo business cards, full color brochures, flyers and direct mailers. Low cost of production reduces minimum quantity restrictions and helps expand your service offering. In partnership with Xerox, Fujifilm adds their legendary expertise in photo imaging innovation to the Xerox Phaser 6270 in order to produce vibrant high quality color images. When connected to FUJIFILM MS Software, the Xerox Phaser 6270 can reproduce outstanding image quality using FUJIFILM Image Intelligence™ Technology, assuring automatic adjustment of the image file to produce the best quality image possible.
