GOLD: AOP Photographers Awards Retrospective 1984-2010

The Association of Photographers (AOP) has announced a retrospective celebrating the exceptional work by the industry’s elite over the past 27 years. On the opening night of the exhibition (27 July) a raffle will be held, giving three lucky visitors a chance to win a print from the exhibition. The retrospective, which highlights the changes seen in the photographic industry since the eighties, also marks the closure of the AOP Gallery at Leonard Street. AOP will continue to curate exhibitions, the first of which will be the 28th Photographers Awards Exhibition, which will open at the end of September at Ambika P3, University of Westminster.

AOP PHOTOGRAPHERS AWARDS GOLD RETROSPECTIVE 1984 - 2010
Exhibition : 27 July - 4 August Private View and Print Raffle: 27 July 18:30 - 20:30
The AOP Photographers Awards is the most prestigious and highly respected competition for professional photographers worldwide. Receiving a GOLD award is regarded as one of the highest accolades available to professional photographers. This exhibition celebrates the exceptional work by the industry’s elite over the past 27 years and also marks the closure of the AOP Gallery at Leonard Street. A retrospective view of imagery highlights the changes seen in the photographic industry since the 80’s.
On the opening night of the exhibition a raffle will be held, where a selection of stunning images will be available, giving three lucky visitors a chance to win a print from the exhibition.
In 1998, we opened the gallery at Leonard Street with a Gold Show and in celebration of members work since then, as this will be the final exhibition to be hosted at Leonard Street, we decided to put on a second exhibition, 13 years later, showcasing more GOLD Awards.
Whilst the Gold Exhibition will mark the end of exhibitions at Leonard Street, we will continue to curate exhibitions for Members and our Awards programmes. The first of which will be the 28th Photographers Awards Exhibition, which will open at the end of September at Ambika P3, University of Westminster.
