Leaf Congratulates GRAPHIS Photography Annual 2010 Award-Winning Photographers
Winners describe how Leaf digital backs captured their visions
TEL AVIV, January 28, 2010 – Leaf Imaging proudly acknowledges Graphis Photography Annual 2010 award-winning photographers Maikka Trupp, Heinz Baumann, Dazeley, and Andrew Zuckerman for their spectacular results. Their work, created using 33 MP Leaf digital backs, can be found in the recently published Graphis Photography Annual 2010, which features the year’s best images by some of the world’s leading photographers.
Platinum award winner Maikka Trupp credits three factors for her results – “taking time to experiment; Broncolor lighting gear and the Leaf 33 MP camera system that was so technically capable that it allowed us to be as creative as we wanted – capturing anything we threw at it (pun intended): from flying liquids to airborne birds, soap bubbles to darting fish, ethereal smoke trails to fluttering butterflies.” More about Maikka at: http://www.maikka.com.au/
Gold award winner Heinz Baumann felt that achieving depth and detail were critical. He said, “I find that the details from my Leaf Aptus 75, on my Cambo Ultima 23 D view camera, are better than anything I have ever worked with. The colors are brilliant, and the shadows hold up better than anything I’ve ever seen. Working in tethered mode and live view, together with the Leaf Capture 11 software, significantly improves the workflow.” More about Baumann at: http://www.heinzbaumann.com/
Gold award winner Dazeley said, “You couldn’t ask for any more from the Leaf back - the sharpness achieved and the ability of the back to capture the subtleties of the colours is remarkable. In the past with film we didn’t view an image in the same way that we view a digital file. In reality, film was never that sharp. Anybody who says that film is better than digital has clearly never experienced a Leaf back.” More about Dazeley at http://www.peterdazeley.com/ and http://dazeleyfineart.com
And Gold award winner Andrew Zuckerman said, “The Leaf system has provided me with the clarity and sharpness that the images require with superb reliability.” More about Zuckerman at: http://www.andrewzuckerman.com
