Guardian News & Media launches ‘Masterclasses’ series – David Montgomery leads photography courses

Guardian News & Media today announced that internationally renowned photographer, David Montgomery, will lead a number of photography courses as part of the Guardian’s new ‘Masterclasses’ series which will offer a hands-on approach to learning.

Starting in January, David will curate two photography masterclasses that will take place in London. He will show students how to master the perfect shot by creating the perfect scene, to enhancing their technical abilities and developing an awareness for their own personal vision.

One of the courses will focus on fashion photography and David will be joined by other professionals from the fashion industry including photographers, Terry O’Neill, John Swannell and Sheila Rock.

David Montgomery said: “I confess I’m not a great fan of working to a rigid curriculum so instead will use my lifetime’s work in a creative way to inspire others by injecting passion, knowledge, fun and photographic intuition. I think what the Guardian has put together is radically different and I’m excited to be involved.”
