Many associations base their ‘Photographer Of The Year’ awards on one image.
With the Guild of Photographers, one of the UK's largest photographic associations, entrants images are judged each month by a full panel of very experienced judges, and those with the highest overall score at the end of the year are awarded the relevant titles – a very demanding year long challenge!
The Guild was very proud to announce the following winners for 2014 at its Awards Evening earlier this week at Crewe Hall in Cheshire (a stunning Jacobean mansion) –

Lesley Thirsk, Director of the Guild said 'This is such an exciting and demanding competition, and around 10,000 images are entered. To win an award after having had your work assessed each month by a full panel of highly respected judges over a full year, is a remarkable achievement to say the least, especially as the standard of entries is so high. The winners richly deserve their success!'
