Passing the time on a train trip with a vacation home movie, making the journey more pleasant for the kids in the back seat on a long auto journey, showing photos from the last party on an outing at the lake. The Mobile MediaSafe VSV 2 – to be introduced this year at the CeBIT trade fair – makes all that possible. With its 30 GB hard drive, the silver and black Walkman-sized box can take along lots of pictures, music and videos and present them again on the 5.5 x 7 cm large display in all possible colours. The data are received by the VSV 2 either in its function as a digital video recorder from a TV, or via USB from a computer, or – via the integrated FM aerial from a radio programme, or from CF, SD, MM MemoryCards, MemorySticks or MicroDrives.

Moreover, it serves – with its integrated microphone – as a dictation device and can also accept all user inputs from the enclosed remote control. 
The files and folders on the hard drive or memory cards can be quickly managed, copied, moved and deleted using the movable navigation knob. A control wheel regulates the volume or the zoom factor.

The 2200 mAh Li-Polymer is recharged by means of the enclosed 230 V power supply unit, which can – depending on the application – supply the MediaSafe with up to 10 hours of power.

The Mobile MediaSafe VSV 2 will be commercially available from the end of March; included are the USB and TV connecting cables.
