Hama U3 Memory Stick
Hama Press Release
On business trips in particular, a notebook is essential as a mobile office. Thanks to the new U3 technology, you can now shrink your portable desk to the size of USB memory sticks as presented by Hama at CeBIT. When this U3 stick is plugged in, you can run your own programs on any PC, whether to download your mail or listen to music, without leaving traces on the host computer!
The principle is simple: When you connect the new U3 stick to a system with Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or Windows XP, the U3 desktop menu containing the programs can be opened by clicking the icon that appears. Afterwards, internet cookies are saved on the stick instead of the computer hard drive, for example, telephone calls are made using private VoIP softphones or e-mails are saved directly to your personal mail program without using web mail, and without having to install the programs on the external computer.
The package includes McAfee Antivirus and a demo version of the Carry It Easy synchronisation software by Cososys for transferring your internet favourites or mail account data. The Hama FlashPens are available in sizes from 512 MB to 2 GB, and have plenty of space for other U3 programs which are available as downloads on a homepage accessible via the U3 desktop menu.
