The UK's major trade and exhibition event, The Photography Show, is fast approaching, and we'll be there with a stand showcasing the new X1D and H6D product ranges.

Pop by stand F61 for an opportunity to get 'hands-on' with the products, including the new Hasselblad X1D, the world's first compact medium format digital camera, with a special still-life demo shoot for your test shots and an image review area to experience the images in all their detailed glory.

Saturday 18th March – 11.30am
Milosz Wozaczynski – Hasselblad Master 2012: Wedding/Social
 
Fine-art, nude and portrait photographer, Milosz Wozaczynski, was a winner in the Hasselblad Masters 2014 competition in the Wedding/Social category. Born in 1975 in Szczecin, Milosz currently resides in the United Kingdom, and his talk will cover his career, his creative process and his Masters experience.
 
As a self-taught photographer, he is certainly a wedding photographer with a difference, and his work mainly engages in portraits and creative photography, with his Hasselblad Masters book project catching the eye with some artistic shots created to evoke, forcing their audience to stop and think about what they are seeing. Having shot his Masters project on a Hasselblad H4D medium format camera, Milosz has since gone on to photograph a real wedding using a Hasselblad H5D system.

David Lund – Liquid Specialist in Product Photography
 
With a proven track record of award winning graphic design and marketing, combined with his passion for photography, David Lund has pushed the boundaries of digital imagery in his own very unique way. Today, David is a highly sought after commercial photographer specialising in shooting liquids for clients such as Shell, Grants Whisky, Baileys and Roll Royce, to name a few.
 
Using his Hasselblad to capture stunning liquid formations, coupled with hi-speed flash, he has been able to create images that will make you ask, ‘How did he do that?’.
 
David’s talk will offer a rare and very open glimpse behind the scenes of his amazingly unique style of work.

Susi Ma – Exploring the Arctic with the Hasselblad X1D
 
As a landscape photographer based in London, Susi has already started to push the boundaries of the new Hasselblad X1D, the world’s first compact mirrorless digital medium format camera system; taking it to the Arctic for a series of travel shots.
 
The sub-zero temperatures and the need to keep the size and weight of kit to a minimum provide the ultimate test, with the talk covering Susi’s first-hand experience with the camera.
 
 
Sunday 19th March – 11.30am
Stewart Marsden – Happy New Year with the Hasselblad H6D-100c
 
As a freelance photographer who regularly shoots for Visit London, Stewart was commissioned as the official photographer for London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display, using Hasselblad’s new top-of-the-range 100 MPixel H6D camera system to capture the colourful atmosphere of the capital’s celebrations in the highest of quality.
 
With the exclusive vantage point of the dome of the Methodist Central Hall in Westminster, Stewart used the H6D-100c to exposure for the different elements of the scene, before then combining them in post-production for a set of amazing images to capture the occasion.

Clive Arrowsmith – Hasselblad Before Photoshop
 
Clive Arrowsmith is a celebrated London-based international photographer, renowned for documenting the fashions, styles and celebrities of the 1970’s to the present day.  Many of his images display his talent for seeing things differently, particularly with his lighting, which Clive has likened to “taking the lens cap off his inner eye”, a subject Clive will be doing a different talk on for The Photography Show itself on their Main Stage.
 
Arrowsmith’s work has been published in Vogue, Harpers, The Sunday Times Magazine, Vanity Fair and Esquire USA, and he is truly one of today’s iconic photographers, having shot many iconic images featuring the likes of Yves San Laurent, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, The Beatles, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy and the Dalai Lama.  Clive is also one of only a few photographers who have twice been given the commission to shoot the Pirelli calendar.
 
This talk will feature some of Clive’s Hasselblad images, and in particular some multiple exposure images that were created using a leaf shutter and changing the magazine backs, long before ‘Photoshop’ was a word on many photographer’s lips.
 
Clive will be immediately following his talk with a book signing of his latest book, available to purchase from Clive on the stand, with a further signing on the stand scheduled for about 2.30pm on Monday 20th March after his main talk on the show’s Main Stage.

Tim Wallace – Living the Ambient Life
 
Working generally within commercial advertising, well-known automotive photographer, Tim Wallace, is often described as dramatic and conceptual, and his work has won him awards such as the British Commercial Photographer of the Year and the UK Motor Industry Photographer of the Year.
 
Having used Hasselblad medium format cameras for the majority of his photographic career, Tim invested in Hasselblad’s first ever CMOS sensor based camera, the H5D-50c just days before a major shoot with Peugeot’s Fractal concept car in Paris, helping him to capture exclusive images for the world’s press in the finest of detail.
 
Not only do Tim’s talks highlight his passion for photography, but as an astute businessman, how the quality of his images is fundamental to his clients and business.

Chris Harper – Me and the X1D
 
Chris Harper has been an award-winning photographer for over 25 years with his work including portraiture and fitness portfolio photography, as well as commercial and fine art projects. Having owned and used a Hasselblad H4D and H5D in recent years, Chris has also recently invested in the new X1D medium format mirrorless camera.
 
As also the current Chief Executive of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP), Chris has a vast knowledge of the photographic industry and he will be talking through his work, his loyalty to Hasselblad cameras, and sharing his industry experience.

Charlie Waite – Rekindling My Hasselblad Love Affair
 
As arguably the UK’s most well known landscape photographers, Charlie Waite, earned himself the nickname of ‘Mr. Square’ with his clients due to his trademark square format images from his old Hasselblad V Series cameras.
 
However, the digital revolution then hit photography and his trusty film Hasselblad’s slowly became resigned to the top shelf, gathering dust until Hasselblad’s CFV-50c digital back came along to rekindle Charlie’s Hasselblad love affair.  The CFV-50c meant Charlie could now use his old Hasselblad bodies for digital capture, with the same 50 MPixel sensor as used in Hasselblad’s modern H Series cameras, but with the same look, feel and user experience Charlie always enjoyed when originally using the cameras.

Sean Conboy – Using Movements for Architectural Photography
 
As an internationally renowned architectural photographer, Sean Conboy, mainly shoots for architects, construction companies, designers and the world of advertising and marketing.
 
With projects ranging from giant multiplex cinemas to multi-storey structures, Sean is often challenged with complex mixed lighting and atmospheric surroundings. Using a Hasselblad H5D-60 digital back on a Linhof technical camera, enabling him to consistently produce some of the best architectural, industrial and commercial photography in the world.
 
 
Tuesday 21st March – 1.00pm
Tom Oldham – Hasselblad H6D Ambassador
 
A London-based portrait photographer, shooting portraits of musicians, sports stars and all sorts of talented folk in locations across the nation and worldwide, Tom Oldham, was chosen as Hasselblad’s global ambassador for the launch of the new H6D camera, shooting a series of images featuring crossfit athletes in Hasselblad’s home country of Sweden.
 
As a genuine all-round nice guy, Tom describes his job as “a great gig”, and balances his commissions with self-funded projects, with his latest project, Eldmodur, documenting the correlation between the brutal, yet darkly beautiful landscape of Iceland with their athlete’s incredible capacity for success in the sport of crossfit.
 
 
Tuesday 21st March – 3.00pm
John Paul Evans – Hasselblad Master 2016: Wedding/Social
 
A winner in the 2016 Hasselblad Masters competition in the Wedding/Social category, UK photographer, John Paul Evans, won the votes of the judges with his clever image representing same-sex marriage.
 
Going on to shoot for the Hasselblad Masters 2016 book with an extension of the series, John Paul’s images are self-portraits of himself alongside his partner Peter, created to address the way photography has been deployed to reinforce notions of gender in western society.
 
John Paul’s talk with offer a rare insight to his Masters project, elaborating on the meaning behind the images and his creative thought process.
