Hasselblad lands new aerial imaging camera alliance with key Australian distributor C.R.Kennedy

Hasselblad has announced a new aerial imaging camera equipment alliance with leading Australian importer/distributor C.R.Kennedy.

The arrangement, described as 'a pioneering strategic partnership for all aerial imaging solutions' by Hasselblad, will extend the market for the company's industry-leading professional H5D aerial camera and other high-end capture portfolio products.

Perry Oosting, CEO Hasselblad said: "We are proud to extend our partnership with C.R.Kennedy with whom we have been working since the early Eighties, and the new arrangement provides superb opportunities for both companies to break new ground. The alliance adds Hasselblad aerial cameras to the options our Australian partner already has for aerial capture devices, alongside our full range of professional, consumer and industrial products."

Peter Lange, Sales Manager of Hasselblad Industrial Camera Solutions added: "Our flagship H5D, with its specially designed image sensor, is perfect for advance mapping solutions and applications. The camera's exclusive positive locking system prevents any unintentional movement or accidental calibration changes due to aircraft vibration."

Malcolm Kennedy, Managing Director of C.R.Kennedy said: "For more than 35 years, C.R.Kennedy & Company Pty Ltd (CRK) has been proud to be the Australian and New Zealand distributor of Hasselblad. CRK is in the unique position of combining its expertise both in surveying and photo imaging technologies. In its Survey division, CRK has more than 60 surveyors on staff, including a PhD, and more than 15 years' experience in aerial LiDAR and photogrammetry."

He added: "We are very excited with the appointment of Peter Lange to Hasselblad's Industrial Camera division, and we will strongly cooperate with Peter in the development of suitable cameras in this exciting new market."
