Canon SELPHY CP600 Compact Photo PrinterCanon UK Press Release

Canon, leader in photographic and imaging technology, is pleased to announce that digital camera owners can now print their photos for as little as 22p* per print with the SELPHY CP Compact Photo Printer range. In an announcement that coincides with the launch of its new flagship, the Compact Photo Printer SELPHY CP600, Canon is offering its KP-108IP Colour Ink/Paper Set – which includes 108 popular 4 x 6”+ size photo prints – for the highly competitive recommended retail price of just £23.99.

The SELPHY CP Compact Photo Printer range uses dye-sublimation technology and offers the convenience and immediacy of obtaining high quality, long lasting photo prints direct from any PictBridge compatible digital camera, digital video camera, digital SLR, and even some mobile camera phonesW. They are designed to be easy to use and support a wide variety of print sizes from Credit Card size to Wide (4 x 8”) size.

While the cost of hardware is clear to consumers purchasing photo printers, the subsequent cost of consumables can be uncertain or unconsidered. With Canon’s matching ink and paper packs, purchasers know exactly how many prints they can produce from each pack – removing any guesswork about cost per print.

“Bringing price per print down to 22p is part of Canon’s commitment to opening the home printing market” said Malcolm Hills, Head of Canon Consumer Imaging in the UK and Ireland.
With lower costs per print applying to all CP series compact photo printers capable of printing 4 x 6” postcard prints¡, existing Canon CP printer customers also benefit from the price reduction.
