This update adds several new demosaicing algorithms, monochrome-specific raw processing options for Bayer and X-Trans cameras, two new sharpening methods, Fill Light and neighbourhood-adaptive Highlight/Shadow adjustments, and much more. Iridient Developer 3.0 beta 4 update released
Pacific Grove, CA, December 14, 2014 -- Iridient Digital, Inc. has released Iridient Developer 3.0 beta 4, a preview of the next major update to the critically acclaimed RAW conversion and photo processing software for Mac OS X.

Some of the major new features now added to version 3.0 include:
- Several new RAW processing (demosaic) options for both Bayer and X-Trans sensors provide a variety of rendering characteristics from incredibly detailed to smooth, low artifact looks tailored to cover a wide range of subject matter and personal preferences.
- Monochrome specific RAW processing options for Bayer and X-Trans cameras.
- Additional monochrome color toning options including Split Toning and Mono Tone.
- "Iridient Reveal" sharpening method, combines some of the best aspects of my existing deconvolution processing along with several of my more traditional approaches (unsharp mask, high pass and DoG) into one "super" sharpener.
- "High Pass" sharpening method.
- Edge Masking now available with all 6 sharpening methods.
- Clarity adjustment with 4 variants from soft to strong.
- Fill Light for easily adjusting exposure levels while maximizing overall dynamic range.
- Neighborhood adaptive Highlights and Shadows adjustments.
- Refined Brightness Shadows/Midtones/Highlights adjustments, now with better highlight recovery and preservation of extreme highlights and shadows.
- New Contrast adjustment options including 2 new "smart", adaptive S curve processing methods to better preserve dynamic range and optionally reduce color shifts too.

This release is a paid upgrade for users who originally purchased a license prior to April 14, 2013. You get at least 18 months of FREE upgrades, regardless of version designation, when purchasing Iridient Developer. When used unregistered, in "demo" mode, Iridient Developer is fully functional however all exported images will be watermarked.
