Rear gelatin filter slot is another common feature of new Irix 11mm f/4.
Firefly and Blackstone versions
Just like in Irix 15mm, this lens is oferred in two finishing versions. Firefly as a standard version is made of lightweight composite, provided with anti slip rubber coating ring and clearly printed markings. There will be also a premium version available, which is Blackstone with durable aluminium and magnesium body that ensures foolproof protection of your lens. Blackstone's engraved fluorescent markings reflect the UV light to enable easy operation in low-light conditions.
Describing the product packaging, Firefly version will be offered in a set with soft lens pouch, while Blackstone version will be secured in hard lens case. It is also worth mentioning that as with Irix15mm, the user gets an additional rear cap in package.
Resistance to extreme weather
All Irix lenses can be used in even the harshest weather conditions. Both versions of 11mm are equipped with a weather sealed construction that protects the interior against dust and moisture. Thanks to inner seals they are also protected from accidental water splashes – two seals are around focus ring and one seal on bayonet mount.
