Jalbum has updated its iPhone app to include multi-selection of photos, simplifying the picture upload process. So far uploading photos from the iPhone, to any photo service, has been a repetitive task. Users have needed to select one photo at a time. This update to the Jalbum app cuts the time and effort of making a web album to a bare minimum. “Jalbums photo sharing service is primarily based on collections of photos, rather than individual photos. That is why we wanted to make uploading multiple photos in one go an easy task.” says lead developer Daniel Plamann. Jalbum for iPhone is a free download from the App Store.

Jalbum is summer hot in App store - announcing trailblazing update

Stockholm, July 28th, 2010. The recently announced iPhone app from photo sharing service Jalbum.net has quickly become one of the worlds most popular photography apps in App store. Two days after launch it made the “What’s hot” list and ranked top 5 most downloaded free photo apps in: Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Italy and Spain. Today, Jalbum announces a pioneering update.

First iPhone app to support multi-selection for uploading photos

The new Jalbum App allows any iPhone owner to create web photo albums straight from the device and update existing albums. So far uploading photos from the iPhone, to any photo service, has been a repetitive task. Users have needed to select one photo at a time. Taking advantage of the iOS4 API, the Jalbum iPhone app now supports multi-selection of photos. This update cuts the time and effort of making a gorgeous web album to a bare minimum.

“Jalbums photo sharing service is primarily based on collections of photos, rather than individual photos. That is why we wanted to make uploading multiple photos in one go an easy task.” says lead developer Daniel Plamann.

First step in mobile strategy for Jalbum

Jalbum has positioned itself as the premiere photo sharing service for flexible presentation of online photography portfolios. The presentation formats have so far not been very accessible on mobile devices due to multiple techniques that are not supported (such as flash). The Jalbum iPhone app brings an entire new mobile API for Jalbum, paving the way for future mobile support and adaptable viewing experiences.

“We are extremely pleased with the success of our iPhone app. Thousands of new photography enthusiasts are joining through the iPhone, people we are eager to meet”, says Carl Manneh, CEO of Jalbum.
