Jessops Launch Share Your Summer 2017

After more than 1,800 entries lass summer, Jessops are bringing back their #ShareYourSummer campaign. From 1 June – 2 August, the company is offering 9 budding photographers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their work in 56 nationwide store windows on major UK high streets and shopping centres, plus an invite to an exclusive Jessops and Sony event, where the overall winner will be announced and set to receive an incredible £3,000 prize. However, it is rare that anyone would ever get the opportunity to share an exceptional image any further than this. We want everyone to have the opportunity to have their very own exhibition where all are invited to view it.”

After more than 1,800 entries lass summer, Jessops is bringing back its #ShareYourSummer campaign. From the 1st June – 2nd August, Jessops is offering nine budding photographers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their work in 56 nationwide store windows on major UK high streets and shopping centres PLUS an invite to an exclusive Jessops and Sony event, where the overall winner will be announced and set to receive an incredible £3,000 prize.
Over the next nine weeks, Jessops is giving anyone and everyone the opportunity to depict what summer means to them through photography. This is a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and creative with your camera as the sun continues to shine, whether it be capturing some treasured time with the family, a favourite summer’s walk or alfresco sunset dining. The opportunities are endless!
With the ease of Wi-Fi, NFC and Remote Viewfinder in recent camera technology, sharing unprecedented quality shots has never been easier. Which is why Jessops is calling for budding photographers to share their gorgeous summer imagery on any of their social media channels with the competition hashtag #ShareYourSummer2017

Last year Simon Marlow from West Berkshire, one of the winners from the competition, was the first to showcase their work. Simon said: “I couldn’t be happier to have been chosen as the first photographer to display their work. It’s an incredible feeling to know that my photo is being viewed up and down the country. Visiting my local Jessops store in Reading to see my photo on display was just brilliant.”
Over the next nine weeks Jessops’s team of judges will carefully contemplate each photography entry of all styles, to pick nine finalists to be displayed in 56 of its store windows – from Inverness to Exeter and everywhere in between. Whether you’re an amateur or keen hobbyist, all entries will be considered as long as the picture has been taken on an actual camera and not on a phone. Every week, runners up will be chosen to receive a professional canvas print showcasing their winning image.
This year, to honour the end of the competition in style, Jessops are teaming up with Sony to host an exclusive celebration party in central London. Here amongst the drinks, canapés and talks from professional Sony ambassadors, all of the competition winners will have their photography displayed for all guests to view and admire. On the night one overall #ShareYourSummer2017 winner will also be officially announced, receiving an incredible £3,000 worth of Sony equipment plus £100 worth of Jessops vouchers.
