Today marks the official opening of Jessops in North Street, Brighton. The retailer celebrated its 51st UK location in a grand opening ceremony attended by the local community.

Jessops has gone from strength to strength in the last two and a half years. “Our success is a multi-channel strategy, within which the high street plays a key role,” says Neil Old, Jessops CEO. “It is all about giving shoppers choice on how to buy: whether that’s in-store where they can get hands on experience, by phone, online 24/7, or via the collect at store service. And this all comes with the reassurance that prices will be the same across all channels and benchmarked against the leading UK retailers with our ‘Price Match Promise’. The expertise of our staff also plays a big part in our success – last year more than 12,000 people enrolled on our nationwide Academy Training courses to build on their photography skills.”

The flagship shop in Brighton, and the first opening of 2016 for Jessops, is a welcomed addition to one of the UK’s most vibrant cities, helping customers both new and old to capture its urban streets of creativity. Stepping into Jessops Brighton will offer a fully immersive experience into the world of photography where products come alive through touch and feel. Shoppers can experiment with the latest cameras and receive face to face specialist and impartial advice from a team of passionate photographers. “So often specialist advice is overlooked,” says Neil Old. “With Jessops, shoppers can receive the guidance they need to make an informed purchase when investing in a new camera.”
