Jessops and Olympus have joined forces to curate a collection of photos captured by amateur photographers this winter. Twenty photographs capturing winter at its finest will be hung on the walls of the Art Bermondsey Project Space in London following a four week social media competition. The exhibition will open on Monday and will be on diaplay until 12th February. The photographers will be celebrated at an awards evening hosted by Jessops and Olympus on the 10th February, where an overall winner will receive an Olympus EM5 Mark II camera with a 12 – 40mm lens worth £1149.

Jessops host free public photography exhibition in London to showcase amateur work

Jessops and Olympus have joined forces to curate a collection of photos captured by amateur photographers this winter. The 20 winners and runner ups were selected from thousands of entries in a nationwide photography search and will see their work displayed in a London gallery, open to the public 6-12th February, for very first time.

Jessops has offered photographers, from all walks of life, the opportunity to display their favourite winter image in a London gallery. Beautiful photos capturing winter at its finest will be hung on the walls of the Art Bermondsey Project Space sponsored by Olympus in London following a four week social media competition.

Rachel Wilkins, Head of Marketing at Jessops comments: “Following the success of our nationwide ‘Share Your Summer’ competition in 2016 we wanted to offer a second chance to budding photographers to see their work showcased in a professional gallery. Thanks to our partner Olympus, we are delighted to be able to support Britain’s love for photography by providing this opportunity. We all feel the pinch in the winter, so what better way to inspire yourself to take more photos than with a free exhibition open to all.”
