What makes John Freeman Photours so unique?
John Freeman’s personal involvement
Every aspect of the tours and workshops has been carefully crafted down to the finest detail by John Freeman himself. Each student can be confident that they are following a meticulous guide, created by one of the World’s most distinguished photographers, and that they are being taught the techniques that have served John Freeman so well in his own career. Tours and workshops that are not personally led by John Freeman will be led by other highly acclaimed photographers.
Diverse range of disciplines covered
John Freeman does not specialise in one particular style of photography and this is reflected in the tours he has crafted. Every tour covers a wide range of disciplines maximising the opportunity for students to expand their photographic skills and knowledge. Portraits, architecture, wildlife, food, reportage, artistic nudes and landscapes are just some of the areas that students will learn more about.
Stunning destinations and premium quality at competitive prices
Regardless of the destination, all tours include premium accommodation, catering and internal travel at truly competitive prices. The bespoke tours cover some of the most photogenic locations in the UK and across the World including Argentina, USA, Vietnam, Madagascar, Polynesia, Australia, Canada, Namibia and India, ensuring students return home not only with a truly memorable experience but also a stunning set of images. A limited number of tours will be available to book from November 2009, with more to follow in 2010.
Added value from extensive ‘after class’ activity
Students can win prizes for outstanding images taken on tours and at workshops. A calendar will be produced featuring the best photos of the year. A glossy hardback book of John Freeman’s favourite images from each tour will be distributed to all students that attended. A cross-course yearbook will also be produced showcasing John Freeman’s top 100 Photours images of the year. In addition to prizes, featuring in this book will have other potential bonuses such as the images appearing in an exhibition or the student working more closely with John Freeman. Discounts on future bookings and Photours merchandise will also be offered to students that have attended a tour or workshop.

Members of this scheme will be able to collect points that can be redeemed against discounts on tours, items from the online shop, prints and books.
