The winner of this year’s Prix Pictet will be announced in London by Honorary President Kofi Annan. The theme of the competition, which will be judged by an internationally recognised panel of experts chaired by Professor Sir David King, is power. The jury is looking for photographs of the highest artistic quality, which most powerfully contribute to public awareness of issues involving sustainability, with a particular focus on the chosen theme. WORLD’S LEADING PRIZE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AND SUSTAINABILITY COMES TO LONDON IN 2012
JURY AND PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED FOR FOURTH PRIX PICTET
The winner of the Prix Pictet, the world’s leading prize in photography and sustainability, will be announced in London for the first time. The prize for the fourth cycle of the Award will be presented by Honorary President Kofi Annan at the opening of the finalists’ exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in October 2012.
Each cycle of the award is centred on a distinct theme, and this year it is Power. The Jury look for photographs of the highest artistic quality, which most powerfully contribute to public awareness of issues involving sustainability, with a particular focus on the chosen theme. The fourth Prix Pictet will be judged by an internationally recognised panel of experts chaired by Professor Sir David King, Director of the Smith School of Enterprise and Environment at the University of Oxford
