Thanks to this new formula of coating material, the surface of the UV and Circular Polarisers cause moisture and water droplets to bead up and slip away, leaving the filter clean. Due to the smooth filter surface, dust and smudges do not stick to the glass and can be wiped away smoothly and easily. Kenko RealPro UV and Circular Polarising filters are available in sizes from 37mm to 82mm and the RealPro ND1000 filter is available from 49mm through to 82mm sizes.

Kenko launch RealPRO filters

RealPRO is the latest range of filters from filter manufacturer Kenko, and are now available exclusively in the UK through WEX Photographic. The range consists of three types of filter: UV, Circular Polarisers and an ND1000 Neutral Density filter with prices starting from £33.00 for the 43mm UV filter.

Both the UV and Circular Polarising filters feature an Anti-Stain Coating (ASC), that represent a new generation of Kenko coating technology. Thanks to this new formula of coating material, the surface of the UV and Circular Polarisers cause moisture and water droplets to bead up and slip away, leaving the filter clean. You will therefore not need to clean the filter very often, making maintenance easier and safer. Due to the smooth filter surface, dust and smudges do not stick to the glass and can be wiped away smoothly and easily. This is a great feature for photographers who shoot outdoors in rough weather conditions.

Key Features of RealPRO

Slim Frame
Use with any lens and with no loss of light. REALPRO features an ultra thin frame to avoid vignetting effect on wide and super-wide angle lenses.

Knurling Edge Frame
The frame of the filter is equipped with a knurling surface to prevent slipping, making the attachment and removal easy and stress-free.

Black Almite Frame
To reduce unwanted reflections, the REALPRO Protector adopts a black aluminum satin-finish almite frame. The satin finish increases friction between fingers and frame for quick operation, while the satin black minimises internal reflections.

Black Rimmed Glass
To reduce the internal light reflections off the edge of the filter glass Kenko uses the technology of black rimming. The outer rim of the filter glass plate is treated with a specific black ink prevent any leaking of the light.

UV Protected Case
Every REALPRO filter comes with durable re-usable plastic case with UV-Cut function. Since the polarization film is sensitive to UV light REALPRO case will lengthen life of the filter.
