Kingston Technology ‘Icons of Photography’ Encourages Interactivity with World-Class Photo Pros - ‘Ask the Icon’ and ‘Critique My Image’ Offer Feedback, Image Reviews to Microsite Visitors

Fountain Valley, CA – April 10, 2007 – Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it is adding interactive features to the popular ‘Icons of Photography’ microsite on www.kingston.com. New components allow visitors to pose questions directly to some of the world’s most respected photographers and also provide an opportunity for submitted photographs to be critiqued by members of the ‘Icons’ program.

Consisting of three new elements – 20 Questions, Ask the Icon and Critique My Image – visitors can gain personal insight in an interactive forum where questions can be asked and images can be shared with the Icons. The microsite will continue to showcase the latest work produced by each photographer, along with a listing of upcoming projects, lectures and workshops from each.

20 Questions is an up-close-and-personal interview conducted with each photographer that details many aspects of their career including how they got started, whose work they admire most and what they would be doing if they weren’t a photographer. Beginning in May, Ask the Icons will provide an interactive way to become part of the Kingston Icon experience, whereby visitors submit questions directly to an Icon. Critique My Photo gives visitors an opportunity to submit photographs and have them reviewed by the Icons. Submission form will be ready when site goes up.

“Kingston is excited to provide an opportunity for photographers to interact directly with the Icons and ask questions or submit an image for a constructive critique,” said Jaja Lin, Flash marketing manager, Kingston. “Our ‘Icons of Photography’ Web site was designed to inform, educate and provide a venue with which photographers can interact with the Kingston Icons.”

Kingston’s ‘Icons of Photography’ includes Sports Illustrated photographer Peter Read Miller, National Geographic photographer Gerd Ludwig, world-renowned photojournalist Harry Benson and internationally-acclaimed photojournalist and advertising photographer Colin Finlay.
