Kubota Image Tools Introduces AutoAlbum V.3

New version of award-winning software helps professional photographers easily create popular magazine-style album pages

Las Vegas, NV – WPPI Booth #723 (March 13, 2008) – Kubota Image Tools is pleased to announce a new version of its award-winning software for creating contemporary magazine-style album pages within Photoshop – AutoAlbum V.3. This new version, available starting next week, includes more than 500 single-page layouts - both square and new rectangular pages - as well as panoramic designs. It also includes Kubota Image Tools’ exclusive new Kubota Action Dashboard™ feature enabling users to search for templates and launch them quickly and easily.

With AutoAlbum V.3, all page designs are kept as completely modifiable layers. This has been further enhanced in V.3 with the addition of Smart Object compatibility that allows users to easily modify their images as they go. Smart Objects, a feature introduced in Photoshop® CS2, allows the user to place a PSD document within another PSD document. By simply double-clicking on the Smart Object in the Layers palette, the image can be modified or replaced and it will automatically update. After creating a page layout in AutoAlbum, now it is easy to replace individual images on the page, or convert images to black and white, for example. Video tutorials included with the software walk the user through the process step-by-step.

Also included in this upgrade is the new printed AutoAlbum Book, a handy reference of all of the templates so users can see completed examples of all of the layout designs and envision the possibilities as they create their albums.

“After being honored with Professional Photographer Magazine’s Hot One Award for Album-Design Software in 2007, we knew we wanted to make a great product even better for our customers,” said Kevin Kubota, Idea Man of Kubota Image Tools.  “We are particularly excited about the new Kubota Action Dashboard™ (“AD”) enhancement in this upgrade. The AD will make finding a layout that suits your images even easier. If you know you want three horizontal images and three vertical images on your page, AD will instantly search for the templates that will fit your needs. Cool, huh?”

AutoAlbum V.3 runs completely within Photoshop, so there are no new programs to learn. The unique AutoAlbum Photoshop Actions build the pages as users select a template and click “Play”. It’s that simple.

AutoAlbum V.3, including the printed book, retails for $399 and can be purchased through the Kubota Image Tools Web site at: www.KubotaImageTools.com.

For previous customers of AutoAlbum V.2 or below, the upgrade, including the printed book and the Kubota Action Dashboard, are available for $150. Please email [email protected] for details.

System Requirements: Adobe Photoshop CS2 or newer.
