Kúla Bebe
Iceland-based Kúla Inventions have announced Kúla Bebe, a new product that will enable 3D photography with smartphones. Comprising four high-precision mirrors, Kúla Bebe is easily attached to and detached from the phone's lens and comes with Kúla’s Cinema-Box for immediate 3D viewing on the smartphone display. The company is launching the product tomorrow on Kickstarter, along with an improved version of the Kúla Deeper 3D photography attachment for DSLR cameras. Kúla’s image processing software Kúlacode can export images and videos captured with Kúla Deeper and Bebe to multiple 3D formats including 3D TV, stereoscopic (for CinemaBox, StereoViewer, Oculus Rift and more), anaglyph (red/cyan), crosseye and wigglegram. The company aims to raise $40.000 through the Kickstarter campaign.

Kúla is launching a new and unique device for 3D photography with smartphones
Kúla Inventions Ltd. is launching a new product that will enable 3D photography with smartphones. Kúla’s worldwide unique solution is based on a device called Kúla Bebe, which is attached to the phone camera lens, and a software application that can convert the pictures and videos to almo st any 3D format.
Kúla is launching the product on Kickstarter on October 21st along with an improved version of Kúla Deeper which is for 3D photography with SLR cameras.

Kúla’s image processing software can export images and videos captured with Kúla Deeper and Bebe to multiple 3D formats including 3D TV, stereoscopic (for CinemaBox, StereoViewer, Oculus Rift and more), anaglyph (red/cyan), crosseye and wigglegram, an animated gif.
“I would love to show people the affection of personal 3D pictures and the value of having their moments captured in 3D” says Íris Ólafsdóttir, the founder of Kúla. “I am hoping that Kúla Deeper and Kúla Bebe will make a lot of people discover how awesome it is to watch their friends, porcupine, grand parents and their important moments in 3D. Personally I prefer my personal 3D content on the 3D TV screen over hobbits and aliens.”
Kúla Deeper and Kúla Bebe are made of four high precision mirrors that project the right and the left perspective of the image, side-by-side into the camera lens, resulting in a stereoscopic picture or video.
Kúla has set the Kickstarter goal to 40.000 USD for manufacturing of Kúla Deeper and Kúla Bebe.
Kúla was founded in 2011 and is funded by the Icelandic Technology Development Fund.
