Land and Sea Photography Competition – Winners Announced
The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers has announced the winners of its Land and Sea Photography Competition. Alessandro Tear’s photo “Vignette Pier” (reprinted above) was chosen as the winner from over 560 entries. Alessandro remarked on winning the competition "It was taken with a Canon eos 550d with a 24-70mm 2.8 aperture lens with a 195s shutter length. It was taken in Brighton of the West Pier at sunset with a neutral density filter." Alessandro has won 12 months membership to The Society.

Alessandro Tear – Winning Image “Vignette Pier”
The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers has announced the winners of the Land and Sea Photography Competition.
The theme for July’s competition on The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographer’s website was Land and Sea. Images that depicted great vistas from either Land or Sea and which show great atmosphere and mood were invited for entry.
Alessandro Tear’s image was chosen as the winner from over 560 entries.
Alessandro from London, England has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP).
Alessandro tells us on winning the competition "Wow thank you very much. it was taken with a Canon eos 550d with a 24-70mm 2.8 aperture lens with a 195s shutter length. It was taken in Brighton of the West Pier at sunset with a neutral density filter.”
Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says, “Alessandro’s image was chosen for its simplicity, calm and serenity which depicted the theme of the competition sublimely.”
The 2nd place image was Jan Ison from St Brelade, Jersey and 3rd place Chris Benham from Cheshire have both won 6 months membership to the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers
