Press Release

TEL AVIV, February 22, 2010— Leaf Imaging announces that Leaf Aptus-II/Aptus camera backs have gained significant workflow options with the extended tethered support in the latest release of Capture One 5.1, the powerful raw conversion, workflow and image editing application.

“Now that the new Capture One 5.1 supports tethered shooting with Leaf backs, Leaf shooters have the widest array of workflow options in the market,” said Ziv Argov, Leaf’s Director of Marketing.

Photographers shooting with Leaf Aptus-II/Aptus medium format camera backs will be able to expand their workflow and take advantage of the wide feature set in Capture One 5.1, including:

- The Focus Tool provides a valuable feature to portrait and commercial photographers, saving them time by allowing them to check focus in real time without zooming in or out of the main preview image.

- The Focus Mask operates on a selected RAW image and also on RAW thumbnails, so photographers can quickly see which images from a large shoot are precisely focused. This tool is particularly valuable to portrait, wedding and fashion photographers who shoot in RAW format.

- With the ability to create Variants, or versions of images, workflow is enhanced. Variants take only a small amount of disk space and offer the ability to process the same image in a number of different ways.

- The Color Editor lets photographers select color ranges in different modes, from basic mode to a more refined range in the advanced mode. The Skin Tone Enhancer in the Color Editor makes it easier to work with skin tones for a more natural and smoother look.

According to photographer Herve Lewandowski, “With Capture One 5.1, it is very easy to shoot tethered to my Leaf Aptus-II 10 camera back. The lens correction tools in Capture One 5.1 are a huge improvement to my workflow!”
