Leica has announced a design variation of the Leica D-Lux 6 digital compact camera featuring a high-gloss, two-colour finish. The most striking feature of this newly designed finish is the combination of a silver lens and a high-gloss black camera body. Leica has also introduced a new addition to the range of accessories for the Leica D-Lux 6 - the Leica Soft Pouch in lambskin nappa leather. The suggested retail price for Leica D-Lux 6 is £600 and that of the new soft pouch is is £60. Both products will be available from December.

The LEICA D-LUX 6 in a new high-gloss finish

Solms, Germany, 24 October 2013: Leica Camera AG, Solms, presents a design variation of the Leica D-Lux 6 digital compact camera. In addition to the discreetly elegant model in matt black, the camera will now be available in an alternative version with a high-gloss, two-colour finish, from December 2013. A stylish feature of this newly designed finish is the combination of a silver lens and a high-gloss black camera body that lends this camera its elegant appearance.

Its fast lens and extremely practical range of focal lengths from 24 to 90 mm (35 mm equivalent), make the Leica D-Lux 6 the perfect camera for everything from macro shots, wide-angle architectural and landscape photography to photojournalism, portraits and available light photography. The combination of a high-performance lens and a 1/1.7" CMOS sensor, which is particularly large for this compact camera format, ensures an imaging quality that sets new standards.

The camera also offers a comprehensive range of features, including automatic mode, manual setting options and full-HD video recording capability. Optional accessories include an electronic viewfinder, which provides even greater creative freedom, in all areas of photography.
