A camera strap for photographers in search of adventure. 

We’ve always liked the rugged yet stylish look of paracord. At COOPH we love working with diverse materials, because sometimes you have to do something a little different to stand out. It’s what awakens our inner-adventurer and the thing that inspires us to photograph the extraordinary. Before COOPH even began, braiding paracord to make camera straps was one of our earliest experiments. 

It’s not easy though. Each strap must be braided tightly enough to make it strong, but loose enough to keep it comfortable. It’s a job for skilled hands and one which requires true craftsmanship. Building on the great success of the award-winning Leica Rope Strap, we teamed up again with the German camera brand to collaborate on a truly unique and beautiful accessory.

After four years of development and careful testing we are proud to present the all-new Leica Paracord Strap, created by COOPH. Each one is lovingly hand-braided in Austria by expert craftsmen and made from the finest paracord and leather. Quality and authenticity are of the utmost importance, so we source our leather purely from German-raised and locally tanned cowhide. 

The COOPH Paracord strap is a 100% European-made product. The neck straps come in two lengths of 100cm and 126cm – and there’s also a hand strap version as well. The ends are finished with metal rings to provide a strong and reliable fastening method. All straps feature a black leather base material, but are available in three different paracord colorways; red, black and black olive.

We are both honored and humbled that the Leica Paracord Strap has already achieved recognition from the prestigious European Product Design Award™ team. The EPDA recognizes innovative and ground-breaking products from talented product designers, and has decided to award the Leica Paracord Strap: Bronze Winner 2019 in Lifestyle and Travel/Leather Goods.
