The Lens Cradle offers a variety of mounting options. The most common position is with the arc up, in a cradle fashion.  Invert the arc and the Lens Cradle becomes an instant bipod, converting previous obstacles into stable platforms.

When the camera is not being held, the Lens Cradle prevents lens-to-surface contact, protecting the lens from grit, moisture, and scratches. The end of the lens remains elevated by the Lens Cradle, never touching the ground.
