Berkshire, UK, 26 February, 2009- LG Electronics, a global leader in consumer electronics, today unveils its affordable High Definition (HD) monitor, the W2442PA-BF, in the UK. Designed with media enthusiasts in mind, this full HD monitor offers users advanced image clarity, making it the perfect option for watching films and playing action-packed games on.

The W2442PA-BF’s full HD functionality ensures users don’t have to sacrifice quality for an appealing price tag. It boasts high spec features, such as a DVI and HDMI port which enables gamers to connect to both a PC and a gaming console and built-in speakers that make it the ultimate space and cost saving device.

When it comes to image clarity, the monitor offers users a high quality viewing experience due to its full HD capability, combined with a 10,000:1 Digital Fine Contrast Ratio (DFC). Powered by LG’s picture enhancing chipset, F-Engine, the W2442PA-BF constantly adjusts the colour definition and colour reproduction of the image on the screen, enhancing the viewing experience. When set to “Movie Mode”, a pre-configured setting of the F-Engine, the contrast ratio is maxed to 10,000:1, creating some of the most life-like images experienced on a PC.
