Light & Land opens the door to Discovery

11 July 2008 - Light & Land - the UK’s leading photographic tour company - has opened the doors for its 2008 Light & Land Discovery Day.  The event is to be held on 7th September, at Wokefield Park Executive Centre near Reading.

Tickets for Light & Land’s inspirational celebration of landscape photography normally sell fast - with the unique opportunity to meet some of the finest outdoor photographers in the UK including Charlie Waite, Joe Cornish and David Ward.

The event also previews the extensive range of photographic tours which Light & Land has planned for 2009 and beyond.  Light & Land offers more tours and travels to more countries that any other company – offering experiences of a lifetime, while in the safe and knowledgeable hands of some of the best photographers in the world.

For this, the 5th Discovery Day hosted by Charlie Waite, there will be seminars from Light & Land tour leaders, together with a brand new format for the afternoon which will include an open forum discussion between Joe Cornish, Charlie Waite and David Ward.

This is a rare opportunity to hear how these accomplished photographers view their own art and the work of their fellows.  Chaired by the acclaimed photographer Eddie Ephraums, this promises to be a lively, inspirational and even controversial debate!  Guests will have the opportunity to pose their own questions for discussion – for details on how to submit a question please contact the Light & Land office on 01432 839 111.

Guests will also have the opportunity to gain constructive critique on their own work (pre bookable sessions) from some of the top landscape photographers in the UK.

Also joining Light & Land for the day are some of the leading manufacturers and retailers of photographic equipment – Fujifilm, Lowepro, Giotto’s, Calumet, Linhof Studio, LEE Filters, Epson and outdoor clothing specialists Parámo.  With the latest equipment on show and to try, there will be the chance for some serious retail therapy!
