Light & Land launches brand new tour to the Isle of Wight
‘She thinks of nothing but the Isle of Wight, and she calls it The Island…as if there were no other island in the world.’ Jane Austin.
The team at Light & Land is delighted to announce a brand new tour to the very special location of the Isle of Wight. The tour will run from 1st – 5th November, and will be led by pro photographer and island resident Ben Wood.
Located just off the south coast of England there’s no need to worry about airline strikes or volcanic ash for this one – just a peaceful retreat in photographic heaven, a short ferry ride away from the mainland.
The island is jam packed with beautiful and accessible scenery, with a huge variety of photographic locations to choose from. From the idyllic harbour of Yarmouth, the imposing royal castle at Carisbrooke , the Victorian charm and botanical gardens at Ventnor, right through to the world famous yachting town of Cowes.
There are many hidden jewels on the island and under Ben’s expert guidance you’ll discover inspiring locations and magical compositions. Due to the compact size of the Island, there is also the benefit of no long journeys and therefore the chance to revisit the best locations in different lighting conditions.
The tour will be based at the stunning Northcourt Lodge in Shorwell – which was built in 1615 and is the largest manor house on the island, located just 5 minutes from the dramatic coastline of the west Wight.
The tour is suitable for all levels of photographers and expert tuition will be on hand throughout the trip. All levels of experience are welcome, whether you’re just getting started, or looking to perfect existing skills.
