Limelite has launched two new LED-based Studiolite products. Developed for broadcast video and photographic applications,the SLED4 (£865 plus VAT) and SLED8 (£1250 plus VAT) provide users with four or eight flicker-free, state of the art linear tubes of LEDs. “These LED-based Studiolites are another first for Limelite," Tim Haskell, Limelite business development manager said. "They create a soft, wide beam of beautifully even light that wraps around the subject to produce extremely flattering illumination." The new models also feature a wide range of optional accessories and modifiers including grids; Barn Doors and filter frames.

Limelite launches two cool new products
Limelite, the videography and broadcast subdivision of Bowens International, has launched two new LED-based Studiolite options.
The pioneering SLED4 (£865 plus VAT) and SLED8 (£1250 plus VAT) provide users with four or eight flicker-free, state of the art linear tubes of LEDs.
Available now, the new Studiolites have been specially developed for broadcast video and photographic applications.
Tim Haskell, Limelite business development manager said: “These LED-based Studiolites are another first for Limelite. They create a soft, wide beam of beautifully even light that wraps around the subject to produce extremely flattering illumination.
Additionally, these tubes produce very little heat so they are ideal for lighting people and still-life subjects over long sessions if necessary. And, unlike the more fragile glass tubes used in fluorescent fixtures, the SLED tubes are extremely robust and easily replaceable.
Highly efficient ventilation means no fan is required on set - so colour temperature is kept stable and light output consistent.”
He added: “With full DMX ‘In’ and ‘Out’ controls these Studiolites can be controlled remotely or from the on-board digital control panel – complete with a dimming range from 100% to Off. Each unit can become a master control for banks of Studiolites linked together.”
