Living together: Photo competition organised by the PES Group in the Committee of the Regions
24 March 2015
At a moment when differences are exacerbated and fears stirred by some opportunist and populist movements throughout the EU and beyond, the Group of the Party of European Socialists (PES) in the Committee of the Regions (CoR) is launching the 8th edition of its annual photo competition on "Living together", giving a chance to talents from all over Europe to express themselves on this very topical European issue.
"Living together" invites emerging and confirmed photographers to capture in a photo one of the founding values of the European Union, that is, United in Diversity. In order to provide participants with ideas on what to focus on, you will find an "inspirational cloud" on the website of the initiative (bit.ly/Livingtogether).
The competition runs until 15 July 2015 and is open to European residents aged 18 and older.
For the first time this year, professional photographers are also welcome to take part in the competition.
Would you like to win up to EUR 2,000 worth of photographic equipment, plus a three-day trip for two to Brussels? Then it's time to get your camera and start snapping!
The three best photos will be selected by a jury, composed of members of the PES Group in the CoR – representing local and regional authorities across the EU - and professionals from the world of photography. In addition, the public will be able to select a fourth winner via an online vote on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/pesgroupcor) in October.
Winners will be announced in December 2015.
