Registration is now open for six free Luminance seminars at Photoville NYC, organised by PhotoShelter. Taking place on the afternoons of September 26 & 27 in Photoville's pop-up photo destination in Brooklyn, the events feature a remarkable line-up of speakers including Deborah Dragon, Julie Grahame, Ben Lowy, Stephen Mayes, and Peter Yang.On Friday, September 27th at 5:30pm PhotoShelter is also hosting a Peer Review Happy Hour, offering some unbiased feedback on your and your peers' portfolios. Get up close & personal with photo editors, gallerists, marketing gurus and renowned photographers

We're thrilled to announce that registration is open for six Luminance seminars at Photoville NYC! In true Luminance spirit, we've invited some of the most inventive, knowledgeable, and entertaining personalities in the photo community.

The best part? It's free.

It's all taking place on the afternoons of September 26 & 27 in Photoville's pop-up photo destination in Brooklyn. We've got a killer lineup of speakers, including:

Ben Lowy, renowned conflict and editorial photographer
Deborah Dragon, Rolling Stone Photo Editor
Stephen Mayes, World Press Photo Competition Secretary
Julie Grahame, aCurator.com Founder
Peter Yang, award-winning portrait photographer

These speakers with share insights on topics ranging from iPhoneography, to the three-minute photo shoot, to the evolving role of the brick-and-mortar gallery.

What else is in store? On Friday, September 27th at 5:30 pm we're also hosting a Peer Review Happy Hour. Bring your book (or iPad!), grab a beer, and get ready to get and give some unbiased feedback on your and your peers' portfolios.
