Panasonic Press Release

An Easy, Smart, Connection to a Next-Generation Photo Sharing Service

The LUMIX CLUB is to be Launched for the Panasonic Cloud Service Supporting SNS Posting Function with Six Languages

Panasonic is launching a new photo sharing service “LUMIX CLUB” to coincide with the release of the LUMIX DMC-FX90 digital camera, which features a Wi-Fi®*1TM communication function. The service offers external site link function to support easy Social Network Service (SNS) posting using the DMC-FX90 without having to worry about complicated settings. Panasonic will expand its service with upcoming functions in the future to strengthen its connection to other SNS sites and photo sharing sites.

Panasonic also plans to continue adding new features, such as communities where people can learn how to take great shots of sightseeing spots, foods, pets and other subjects, and will introduce newly applicable equipment, new service regions, additional languages, and other elements as they become available.

The following main service details and points have been provided:

External Site Link Function
A new link function has been added that connects SNS and photo sharing websites from other companies. Using this function to send (upload) photos simultaneously to several sites makes it possible to send to multiple SNS or photo sharing sites with a single operation, greatly simplifying the process. Also, by using the LUMIX LINK, a smartphone connection app that is scheduled to be released at the same time as the DMC-FX90, photos can be easily uploaded onto SNS and photo sharing websites offered by other companies by simply flicking the photos to be uploaded from the DMC-FX90.

The following websites offered by other companies will be linked starting September 5th 2011; FacebookTM *2, FlickrTM*3, PicasaTM*4, YouTubeTM*5

Two LUMIX LINK app types for connecting to iPhone®*6 and Android™ OS*7 smartphones will be provided. These will make it easy to upload photos to SNS or photo sharing sites of other
companies.

The External Site Link function described above is being released in six languages (English, Italian, German, French, Spanish and Japanese). The new service will begin on September 5th 2011.

The following service will be provided in the future:

(As of September 5, 2011, these functions are only offered on the Japanese website)

1. Easy-to-Use Photo Album Functions
The LUMIX CLUB is planned to have the following features, making it a simple, easy-to-use photo sharing album function.

Storage Service
Photos can be uploaded to an album on LUMIX CLUB. Uploaded photos can be viewed from mobile phones, or from a Panasonic flat-panel VIERA TV and DIGA Blu-ray Disc recorder.

Album Timeline Display Function
The LUMIX CLUB for PCs is going to evolve into an intuitive, easy-to-use user interface thanks to the Timeline function, which uses Flash,*8 and drag and drop. Photos and movies can be displayed by date, making it easier to arrange everyday photos.

Photo Sharing Album Function
The Photo Sharing Album function enables users who attended the same event, such as a wedding, to exchange and comment on photos and movies. Photos can be compiled into individual events.

2. Device Link Function
This service can be linked with compatible equipment. For example, the photo of a faraway grandchild posted to LUMIX CLUB can be viewed or downloaded using a Panasonic DIGA Blu-ray Disc recorder.
