PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA JULY 1, 2014 - So far, it appears that one of the most striking cultural trends of the early 21st Century has been the widespread democratization of media. A small group of product designers in Silicon Valley noticed this trend, and realized that for all of the ease with which we are all now empowered to distribute media, there still exists a wide gulf between the production tools of “professionals” and those available to the general public.

Having identified the incident light meter as one such tool — being far too expensive in its previous form s— these product designers brought Luxi to market. The first incident light meter attachment for smartphones, it costs a mere fraction of what those traditional light meters cost.
