Made in Britain Photography Awards 2012 Shortlist Announced

Eighty-seven photographs have been shortlisted for the Made in Britain Photography Awards 2012, a nationwide competition run by the EEF, the UK manufacturers’ organisation. The organisers received over 800 images that celebrated the best of British design and manufacturing in three categories: professional, amateur and young person aged 14-19. An overall winner from each of the three entry groups will be awarded £5,000 worth of photographic equipment by sponsor Canon at a National Awards Ceremony in Westminster on 4 December 2012.

National manufacturing photography awards shortlist announced

A select group of photographers from across Britain will have their images exhibited at the Houses of Parliament after their images were shortlisted in the final of a national photography competition celebrating British design and manufacturing.

A total of 87 photographs were shortlisted for a nationwide competition run by the EEF, the Manufacturers’ Organisation, and sponsored by Canon. The gallery of images will be displayed in Westminster throughout 2013.

The Made in Britain Photography Awards 2012 received over 800 images that celebrated the best of British design and manufacturing in three categories: professional, amateur and young person aged 14-19. Entries ranged from the magnificent Olympic rings hanging over Tower Bridge to the printed electronics board’s journey through an advanced soldering process.

An overall winner from each of the three entry groups will be awarded £5,000 worth of photographic equipment by sponsor Canon at a National Awards Ceremony in Westminster on 4 December 2012.
