Last week DPNow reported that you could download an accurate replica of a resolution target for free. This week they attempt to print the free version and see if it matches up to the professional version:

But we’re not suggesting those that require high quality, professional level, test data replicate our method. If you want a professional result, the best advice is to buy a professionally produced target like the Edmunds Optics one.

However, we hope we have demonstrated how you can get close to professional results using an ordinary printer, that you get a feeling for the limitations of printed resolution and maybe have a bit of fun and learn a few things on the way.”
