Manfrotto Launches a Pop-Up Photo Lab in the Heart of London

London, October 2011 – Manfrotto, the world leader in premium accessories for the photographic and imaging industry, has chosen Covent Garden in central London as the iconic site of Manfrotto’s Interactive Photo Lab, a creative photo studio open to the public. From 18-20 November, visitors to the Lab can put their artistic talent to the test by using Manfrotto photographic kit and being photographed on professional photography sets.

The London Photo Lab is the fourth in a global series of interactive photo labs, which are popping up in squares and piazzas around the world. It follows in the creative footsteps of labs in Beijing, Berlin and Hong Kong.  This unique experience will take place in Covent Garden, opposite the London Transport Museum. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on 18 and 19 November, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 20 November.

Professional photographers will guide visitors through two creative photo sets, giving them the tools to capture great photographs and the opportunity to feature in their own photo shoot. The specially created sets offer the chance to try Manfrotto kit in real-time, with support and guidance from the experts.

The pictures taken over the course of the three-day installation will be uploaded to the Manfrotto Imagine More Facebook page to allow all those who have participated to share and comment on their own photos. While visitors wait to access the photo sets, they can share the start of their experience with their network of friends by checking in to the Manfrotto Interactive Photo Lab on Foursquare as well as Facebook Places.

Manfrotto’s Interactive Photo Lab offers passers by the chance to experiment with slick photographic sets and top-of-the-line kit, broadcasting their creative experiences to their friends via social media. Manfrotto is committed to giving photography enthusiasts of all levels the tools they need to live out their creative vision, whether professionally, at a hobbyist level, or just to share with friends on Facebook.
