MANFROTTO’S 500 VIDEO HEAD WINS EISA AWARD 2013-2014

London, 27 September 2013 – Manfrotto, the world leader in equipment and accessories for the photography and imaging industry, has been awarded “European Photo-Video Accessory 2013-2014” for the 500 Video Head (MVH500AH), a lightweight and compact tripod head with a wide sliding plate, at the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) Awards,one of the most prestigious European competitions.

EISA has been running for more than 30 years and is a unique association of 50 special interest magazines covering audio, home theatre, in-car electronics, mobile electronics, photography and video, from 20 different European countries. Every June, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member magazines meet to decide which products covered in their publications during the past year deserve the coveted EISA Award.

The MVH500AH 500 Video Head (RRP: £129.95) is suitable for use with large DSLR telephoto lenses and professional quality video cameras. It can be used on standard photo tripods, ensuring smooth adjustments, fine controls and sharp pictures. The head has professional fluid cartridges on both pan and tilt axes to ensure that every movement made with the camera has a smooth motion; the locking system also makes it quick and simple to lift the camera out of the head. The 500 is set to a fixed counterbalance of around 5 lbs but locking power on the tilt axis ensures the head is perfectly stable under camera equipment weighing up to 11 lbs. To allow an external monitor or other accessory equipment to be fitted and properly supported, the 500 has an industry standard Easy Link 3/8” connector.
