Albert Watson has created some of the most iconic images ever seen and his masterclass gives students the unique chance to gain an insight into his visual language, and his own distinctive rules and concepts of quality. His 6 hour masterclass has been broken down into 54 intimate lessons, allowing students to reflect and learn at their own pace as they embark on a personal journey with Watson.

MoP aims to teach and inspire all photographers to create better images. Although Albert Watson’s masterclass does include invaluable technical advice to help students explore his iconic style, the lessons are not about how to use a camera, nor are they biased to any type of camera device.

Production quality for each Masterclass was always paramount for filmmaker and co-founder of MoP, Chris Ryan. He said: “Our students from the Meyerowitz and McCurry masterclasses have told us they feel like they’re walking side by side with their Master photographers during the online lessons which is wonderful. He went on to say “We have taken the Masters to locations across the world. We use rich imagery, beautiful cinematography and sound to produce hugely engaging, rewarding and enjoyable Masterclasses. We’re very proud of that”.

Albert Watson’s masterclass gives us a rare opportunity to learn from a Master who has been sited as one of the twenty most influential photographers of all time. He has made his mark as one of the world’s most successful and prolific photographers since he began his career in 1970, blending art, fashion and commercial photography into some of the most iconic images ever seen.

Though the wide variety of his images reflects an effortless versatility, they are nevertheless identifiable as Albert Watson photographs by their sheer power and technical virtuosity. This masterclass will help students to understand why they stand out clearly against the world of today’s images.

Throughout his career Watson has been awarded with numerous prestigious awards of the highest accolade including an OBE, his photographs have appeared on more than 100 covers of Vogue worldwide, he has created photography for hundreds of ad campaigns for major companies, 5 books, countless solo exhibitions and his photographs are included in permanent collections in many of the worlds leading museums and galleries. Through my Masters of Photography course, I share how I’ve approached my own projects through the decades, from conceptual, art-driven shoots, to editorial assignments for major magazines and advertising campaigns. Whether you’re taking a fun portrait of a loved one or preparing for your first paid job, I can help”.
