20 0ctober 2011: Wacom today announces an Intuos4 promotion called ‘Meet the Masters’ that offers the perfect tool bundled together with the ultimate in know-how for creative professionals. When purchasing an Intuos4 pen tablet, customers will receive a free DVD with more than 10 hours of professional tutorials from 13 international experts in digital imaging, design, illustration, 3D and motion design. The DVD series has been developed to help users significantly improve their digital content creation (DCC) skills while working with an Intuos4 pen tablet. ‘Meet The Masters’ DVD has a value of £69.95 if bought separately from Wacom’s eStore.

Developed in partnership with video2brain, producer of engaging training videos, Wacom’s ‘Meet the Masters’ DVD is ideal for enthusiast and professional photographers, illustrators and graphic designers, creatives in 2D/3D media and entertainment. The series is made up of three separate DVDs (gathered on one DVD when bought with an Intuos4) providing three professional tutorial topics – digital imaging, design and illustration as well as 3D and motion design. In addition, there is guidance on basic settings for Intuos4.

‘Meet the Masters’ is available in English, German and French versions, as well as with subtitles in Italian and Spanish. There are 13 presenters altogether who are all professionals in their field and many of them are Wacom evangelists too. The number of trainers appearing on each DVD varies depending on the language. Those on the English DVD include renowned illustrators, graphic designers and Photoshop artists such as Angie Taylor, Steve Caplin and Daniel Lieske.

Each DVD features lessons with picture-in-picture footage of the trainer working with their Intuos4 pen tablet, enabling viewers to learn from their techniques up close. The watch & work mode allows viewers to follow the tutorial displayed in a small window on screen and practice at the same time. Additional features include a bookmark function to help viewers annotate the course and remember where they left off, as well as training material and shorter crash courses.

‘Meet the Masters’ is available in HD video with full-screen mode that creates an immersive learning experience, as well as an iPad/iPhone version – just follow the QR code on the package.
